BTO 2015 hosts the project “TERRE di PIERO – IN THE STEPS OF THE TRAVELING MASTER”, promoted by four regional tourism bodies [Tuscany, with Toscana Promozione, the Marche Region, Umbria and the Emilia Romagna APT].

What we aim to understand during this session is how the ecosystem of a tourist destination – operators, governance, collective interests – can benefit from the matrix art/culture –> construction of the tourist product –> economic value, and what are the levers for raising awareness and undertaking or reinforcing these routes, including the role of individual governing bodies in planning choices and the involvement of the numerous players implicated in this type of initiative.
