CEO Hoxell

Carlo Fontana graduated in law at the University of Milan in 1990. After a brief internship at the Michelangelo Hotel in Milan, in the same year he starts his career at the Hotel Lugano Dante Center.

At first he worked as a receptionist, then as Front Office Manager and management assistant until becoming chief executive. From 2003 he is also chief executive of the Hotel Berna in Milan. Furthermore, he is Member of the executive board of the Hotelier Associaton of Milan. From April 2009 until May 2011 he was President of hotelleriesuisse Lugano.

The Hotel Lugano Dante was rewarded in 2012 from the „Swiss Quality Hotels International“ chain of the “Excellent Guest Satisfaction” Award.

In the same year the trip portal Tripadvisor.com nominated him Travelers’ Choice 2013 Winner (Best service in Switzerland), whereas in the month of May he was rewarded by Swiss Tourism the Prix Bienvenue 2013, an award which is reserved for the most hospitable city hotels.

In November 2013, the Hotel Lugano Dante was selected from HTNG (Hotel Technology Next Generation global Association), in occasion of the EMEA 8th European conference in London, as the winner of their „Hotel Technology Innovators Award“. In 2013 he becomes CEO of the start-up company Hoxell.com.
